Night, 25 Dhu‘l-Q., 1447

I am Hamidah Sẹ̀gílọlá Abbas, a Qur'an lover, award-winning speaker, and Nigerian author.

At the age of 10, I completed my first “book,” Sẹ́gun, in my language, the Yorùbá language.

Fast forward to three years later: at the age of 13, out of genuine concern for society, I submitted three articles to at-Taleem magazine, and all of the articles were published. All. Three. Not one. Not a single one was rejected. And certainly, all praises belong to ALLAH.

One thing you should know about me is that I am a firm follower of the truth. It doesn't matter what I feel; I follow the truth, not my truth. You can blame my autism for this.

Once upon a time, I strongly encouraged polygamy then Almighty ALLAH guided me to the Ijma'a of Umar ibn Khattab and other companions, which states that a Muslim woman can stipulate the no-polygamy clause (monogamy only) in her marriage contract (al-Mughni, Vol. 9, p. 483). This surprised me so much, I wrote an entire digital book about it and I self published it in 2018.

Over the years, I have written more digital books.

They include:

Some people say, “There’s no God.” Others say, “There’s no god but mine.”

ALLAH means “The God.” Therefore, to be a Muslim (one who submits to God) is to say—and mean—“There’s no god but The God.

Basically, God is God.

And all praises belong to ALLAH who has sent the Prophet ﷺ with the Qur'an and Sunnah.
