Hamid Ouahbi is a Moroccan entrepreneur and pharmacist, and the founder of the Private University of Health and Sciences of Agadir (UPSSA). He is also the co-founder of Co-Capital Holding, a group active across Morocco’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

After completing his pharmacy studies abroad, Hamid Ouahbi began his career in the healthcare sector, developing experience across several parts of the value chain, including pharmaceutical distribution, manufacturing, and retail-related activities.

In 2001, he founded Soremed in Agadir, marking the beginning of a broader expansion strategy that later developed into a nationwide pharmaceutical distribution network. In the years that followed, he launched and developed several key entities, including GPM in Casablanca, CPRE in Fès, LODIMED in Marrakech, and Zenith Pharma, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company working with international partners.

Through Co-Capital Holding, Ouahbi has helped build an integrated healthcare ecosystem spanning pharmaceutical distribution, industrial production, medical devices, optics, and healthcare infrastructure. The group operates nationwide and serves thousands of pharmacies and healthcare institutions across Morocco.

In 2023, Hamid Ouahbi founded UPSSA as part of a broader vision to strengthen healthcare education, research, and infrastructure in the Souss-Massa region, while contributing to the long-term development of Morocco’s health sector.
