I am currently a senior at the University of Delaware studying mass communication, journalism and advertising. I live by the motto: "Lack of Passion is Fatal." I believe that passion is what makes this life worth living. I have a passion for a number of things. One of them is exploring the unknown. I love traveling to cities I've never been and meeting people I've never known. This may be why I have found myself particularly drawn to journalism. The art of unveiling the truth behind someone is exhilarating to me.
During my undergrad career I have participated in a number of clubs on campus. All four years I was a reporter for the Student Television Network where I composed news packages to air on televisions around campus. I also hosted the WVUD radio station news segments. I went on air every other week from 6am-8am. Additionally, I belong to a volunteer organization on campus called Lori’s Hands. Lori’s Hands is a club that connects college students to chronically ill elders in the surrounding community. We help them with everyday tasks such as grocery shopping, light cleaning and supporting them during their time of sickness. As recruitment chair for Lori’s Hands I increased the club size from 12 members my freshman year to over 40 members now.

I have a laundry list of internships that I’ve accumulated over the years. My first internship was with Ezanga.com, a search engine company based out of Middletown, DE. As an intern at Ezanga I contributed to blog posts that helped increase traffic to their site. I learned how to increase traffic through SEO tatics. My next internship was at another online site for health advice, called Health Expert Network. As the social media intern I promoted the site. Using the search engine optimization techniques I learned from my previous internship I effectively increased traffic to this start-up website. My next internship was at a psychiatric hospital called Rockford Center. I worked closely with the marketing department to increase doctor referrals at the hospital. We traveled throughout the state of Delaware to speak with various hospitals, psychiatrists and old people homes. Lastly, I was a supervisor for a large pool company that owns and operates in over 10 states on the east coast. I recruited and trained new lifeguards. I was also a liaison between clients and the corporation.

I hope you have grasped a firm understanding of my creative abilites and experience from this about me. Plea
