Aloha, I have an ecotourism farm stay which means, there is solar electric and the 10 acre gardens are environmentally taken care of as much as possible. It is semi-tropical area so a lot of challenges. For over 30 years I have been a volunteer in conservation and am chair for the Hana Soil and Water District and am Vice Pres. for Maui Island and sit on the state board of Hawaii Conservation Districts. I moved to Hana with my husband and 6 children in 1976. We spent the first year in 2 large tents which the grown up children still remember well.
