When I was six years old, I emigrated from China, my birthplace, to a foreign world named America. Growing up in such a place taught me compassion and empathy for those unlike myself as well as instilling in me an unwavering curiosity towards everything around me.
More than a decade later, I am now a senior at Troy High School and a leader in the Troy Colt Marching Band. I love going out with friends, video games, and both playing and listening to music. Most of all, I love breaking something down into its simplest parts and understanding the interactions between them, whether it be machines or human relationships. As a result, I have decided to pursue computer engineering as a career.
While it is true that I am about to delve into unexplored territory in the form of college, I am in no way a blank slate. Instead, the story of my life will only continue to develop and build itself upon my past experiences.
