I love to teach, and I love to learn.

After 30 years in the Greensboro/Guilford County schools, I'm now teaching Astronomy at High Point University. I've been at HPU since 2008 and have participated in the growth of the Astronomy program.

I also host on a regular basis at Cline Observatory on the Jamestown campus of GTCC. I serve as the chair of the Cline Observatory Advisory Committee.

My astronomy presentations to community groups can be tailor-made for the audience. Recently I've made presentations about Pluto, astronomical models, and local opportunities in astronomy.

I'm still learning to play the guitar. Rock -and-Roll is my favorite genre.

In my spare time I ride a Honda GoldWing motorcycle.

I volunteer and help raise money for Parkinson's Disease research for the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
