Hanna Rafferty

San Antonio, Texas, United States

Born and raised in San Antonio, I love the 100 degree summers and the mild winters. Currently a senior at Tom C. Clark High School my favorite activity is playing the number one girls position on the varsity tennis team. I contributed to Clark's 22nd through 25th team season district championship titles. Playing tennis, attending school, coaching tennis, volunteering, competing in tournaments and training for a half marathon are how I joyfully spend my time. Kinetic Kids, an organization dedicated to providing extracurricular activities for children with special needs, is the volunteer organization I am most involved with. I am helping create a new tennis program in the Extreme Sports division of Kinetic Kids and will help coach, recruit volunteers and execute the program objectives. Tennis has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember and I am grateful for any opportunity to share it with young children. I have played tennis since I was five, loved it since I was twelve, and have learned much by playing the game. My dream is to play tennis in college and continuing enriching the lives of others by sharing this great sport. I hope to attend Trinity University and am interested in studying both engineering and kinesiology.
