Hannah Hughes

Hi, my name is Hannah Hughes and I’m a stay-at-home mum to a gorgeous seven month old baby boy called Elijah. Our new favourite activity is to cook together and nothing keeps Eli more entertained than coming up with words that rhyme with all our ingredients.

At only seven months old there’s a whole world of flavours and textures out there for Eli to try and I’m swiftly learning that the stronger the taste the better…gone are the days of bland veggie purees! His new favourite meals now seem to be whatever my husband and I are eating whizzed up in the blender and presented to him in a rather mushy consistency.

I’ve had a lot of people ask me recently for inspiration and recipe ideas to feed their little ones, so I thought I would share a few of our favourites and at the same time encourage myself to keep on coming up with new family friendly meals too. Most of the recipes on here will be ones suitable for both grown-ups and children, but every now and again I’ll include ones only suitable for us big kids because we all deserve a little treat sometimes.

I’m here to hopefully dispel the myth that babies can only handle bland flavours and encourage you to experiment with big, bold and healthy ingredients that will get you excited about having to batch cook millions of meals!
