Enjoying my first foray into freelance work. Having worked in-house at magazines including Management Today, Growing Business and Information Age, I decided to go it alone after returning from a nine-month jaunt around the world.

I currently edit a new magazine for start-ups and SMEs called Elite Business, and also pen a couple of features a week for the Sunday Times. It's mainly for the appointments section, so is usually around management, leadership, and business strategies. That kind of thing.

My real passion, however, is writing about entrepreneurship. Having accidentally fallen into writing about SMEs, I became intoxicated with the passion, enthusiasm and sheer doggedness of the entrepreneurs I met. I've now been writing about start-ups for six years and have run awards and spoken at events. I love what I do.

Having cut my teeth on a technology magazine, I also like to keep my inner geek happy by writing for technology mags when I get a chance.
