I am a wife to a fantastic, Godly man, mom to three beautiful girls and I love Jesus!
I started taking pictures about 10 years ago as a way to pass time while we lived in a basement suite for the four years my husband was in university. It quickly became a passion and I was hauling him around to various parks and locations. He would pick a spot to study while I went on photo walks etc.
When we had our first children (who are twins) four years ago... I put the camera on the shelf since any spare time was spent sleeping. It could have been partly attributed to all the things that happened that year. We got pregnant, moved into an apartment without knowing how we were going to pay for it, got a job confirmation while we were moving, thought we lost the baby, found out 'everyone' was ok, he graduated university, had the babies, bought a second vehicle from across the country, purchased our first home, and upgraded our current car to a van. I've often referred to this verse in 1 Corinthians 10:13. It says "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." esv.
Fast forward a few years. Our girls are 4,4, and 1.5. We've had 9 years of growing together in marriage.
I got a camera for my birthday this year and I have been enjoying it. Thanks To my husband! I've learned that in order to improve, I need to practise. Just like any other skill or talent.
I love that where I am in life is where God wants me to be. Doing my small but not insignificant part in eternity. I hope that you will see this in me.
