Greetings! For starters, as you have probably figured out with the help of minor investigative skills, my name is Hannah. I am currently a senior at Michigan State University, studying under the professional writing degree. For all those who are not familiar with the major, it has three major tracks:

1. Digital and Technical Writing (web-authoring, manual writing, web management and design, etc.)

2.Editing and Publishing

3. Non-Profit/Grant Writing.

As you also might have detected from the in depth summary of the first track, I characterize myself under the Digital Technical Writing track. Of all listed, this track gives me the most freedom to utilize both my writing and design skills. As a former art major, I value the visual composition equally with the written content. It is my belief that if done right, both the content and visuals can often compliment one another to create comprehensive masterpieces. Take for example, if you had a well designed, colorful brochure, but if the content is useless, it becomes nothing but a pretty piece of paper. Yet, when combined with great design and well-written content, the two components work together; the design work brings the reader in, while the content keeps them there.

Outside of the classroom, I am an adventurous and curious human-being. I love learning. There is something exceptionally exciting when you've learned something new that cannot be replicated. (I bet you didn't know that the origins of the English language origined from the Anglo-Saxon's language of Anglisc.) Fasincating, yes?

History, especially, is a passion of mine. Raised by a major history buff, my father took my family to nearly every Civil War monument and park you can think of. It was these trips that fueled my love of knowledge, and it still fuels it today.

My love of travel and adventure equals my thirst for knowledge, and it has been my experience, often goes hand in hand. Every new trip is always accompanied by some new discovery. I dream destination include London, Paris, Ireland, Edinburgh, Scotland, and more! I love hiking, camping, and kayaking.

As of now, I live with my family and our 2 pets, Lucky and Sadie! I look forward to learning and traveling in the future!
