From what I can recall about my early childhood, my time was dedicated mostly to books. Books about animals hijacking witch’s broomsticks, teddies getting lost in the attic, bears making fully-functioning spaceships out of cardboard boxes… there was no end to my collection, and I will be eternally thankful for having had such easy access to all that inspiring creativity.

It’s because of those childhood books that I love what I do. They managed to spark a passion for writing that has stayed with me for the last twenty-one years and will continue to be part of me forever. It sounds cheesy, but I’ve always known that I was destined to write for a living. So, I completed my English Language and Creative Writing degree in Lancaster and moved to London to kick-start my career with LeadGeneratorsDigital.

I work as a writer and editor for this digital marketing agency and every day it baffles me how much my writing has improved. Not only that, now have a lot more general knowledge than I used to! Because the agency has such an extensive range of clients, I’ve been tasked with writing articles about car hire excess insurance and airport transfers – two topics I was completely clueless about just a few months ago. What I love about this job is that there’s always something new and exciting to dig my teeth into; recent topics have also included educational visits and courier work!

Living in the city has not only made me work harder, but it’s also given me a thicker skin (I hate that phrase, but I’m using it). Whether I’m writing at home for my own blog or at my desk working on an article about student accommodation, London inspires me every day to dig that little bit deeper. I know now that nothing can stop you if you truly love what you do!
