Hannah Garcia

A journalism professor of mine (who I am very fond of) once told me everything I need to know about journalism and its ethics: "Nobody cares what you think."

A love of telling true stories is what keeps me going in this profession. And I've learned that they are not my stories; I'm just the one reporting them. From crowdsourcing on social media to wading knee-deep in snow for a photo, if there's a way to tell a story, ethically and fairly, I'm on my way to becoming an expert in it. I'm always out with a DSLR on my hip and a pen behind my ear. I also have experience in layout design, news writing for the web and print, editorial and portrait photography, and social media development.
