Hannah Pickering

I'm a Graduate, from studying at BA in Creative Writing. Where I studied modules that helped me improve my writing skills, the way I structure my writing and to learn what my own form, of style of writing is.

I also studied at Coleg Glan Hafren College, in Cardiff, now known as Cardiff & the Vale college. Studying a BTEC National Diploma, in Media & Film. I learn't how to edit audio and visual footage, after learning how to film footage either out on location, or in a live studio setting. I also gained Radio Show experience and Digital Photography experience.

I worked as a Marketing Assistant, same year I graduated, in 2010, for www.yelp.co.uk website, which I still have a profile on the website, but like Facebook, anyone can write for them now, I was able to gain employment with them, when they were looking for someone to work for them for a few months, writing about local companies in Cardiff and taking photos and uploading it to my profile page.

I’ve just finished a Part-time Receptionist/Admin Assistant Job, in Cardiff, with the Envitech Ltd company. I meet and greet people: answer the phones, sign for deliveries, check its safe and so forth, I help organise/label and sort out the paper filing system, I also help add and update a software, programme, called SAP, among other tasks I get given, which can include learning how to use new computer programmes on the job.

I’ve Self Published a Children’s Picture book, with my mum. My mum is a Physiotherapist Lecturer at Cardiff University, but often has to do her own research aside of that work, her research has recently been about Cerebral Palsy children and what activities they can and like to do. It’s a Self Published project, that she has paid for, so were selling the book at £6, and now were selling it through Amazon.
