HANNA RHEE

Hanna Rhee is a humanitarian, nonprofit director, and community advocate whose life’s work is rooted in compassion, service, and cultural bridge-building. As the Founder and Director of Global Angel Outreach, Hanna has led international humanitarian aid missions for Muslim refugee communities displaced by conflict and crisis. Under her leadership, the organization has delivered direct relief to families in Switzerland, Islamabad (Pakistan), and Istanbul (Turkey) — providing essential supplies, educational support, and a sense of hope to those who need it most.

Her nonprofit work is driven by a deep belief in interfaith dialogue and the power of grassroots activism to create lasting change. Hanna is also an active member of the Islamic Society and serves as a volunteer tutor through Muslim Outreach, where she mentors young people and helps strengthen her local community from the ground up.

Beyond her humanitarian efforts, Hanna is a passionate animal welfare advocate and a devoted supporter of the Humane Society’s semi-feral cat adoption program. A lifelong cat lover, she is dedicated to feline rescue and advocacy, volunteering her time to help shelter animals find safe, loving homes. Hanna’s compassion extends to every part of her lifestyle — she is committed to halal vegan living, embracing a plant-based, cruelty-free approach to nutrition that reflects her values of mindful eating and ethical responsibility.

Whether she’s caring for rescued cats or preparing clean, compassionate meals, Hanna leads by example in everything she does.When she’s not giving back to her community or advocating for those without a voice, Hanna can be found exploring hiking trails, participating in Goodwill charity walks, and enjoying the outdoors. She holds degrees from USF and UC Irvine and is a recipient of the prestigious NIH Ruth Kirschstein Fellowship, bringing a strong foundation in biomedical science and analytical thinking to her nonprofit and community work. Hanna currently serves as an Intake Specialist at Bio-Genetics Laboratory while continuing to grow Global Angel Outreach’s mission of delivering aid, building bridges, and empowering communities across the globe.
