There are, so to say, about three big themes dominating my life. All completely different, and jet all connected.
Cultural Heritage would be the first theme. I’m a master student of Applied Museum and Heritage Studies at the Reinwardt Academy in Amsterdam. I love stuff: old stuff, new stuff, broken stuff. And most of the time this love doesn’t even come from the objects itself, but rather from the story it tells. I like how one object can secretly tell the history of a long-forgotten war of maybe just your personal story of ‘uncle Fred’.
The greatest thing about this, is that it in museums those stories can come to life.
New technologies and gadgets are very different subjects compared to Cultural Heritage, but I like these almost as much.
Making is the last mayor theme in my life. From an very early age, I’ve always been busy drawing (or crafting). It can very relaxing at times, almost like therapy. (But also it can be like hell when I have an awesome idea in my head and the result is nothing like it, some people must recognize this right?)
Anyhow, whenever I have the time and energy left I will draw something with fineliners or pencils or I will be busy working on some project.
What more should you know about me? Well... I like a lot. Even learning, and I will never stop.
