I am a journalist/editor covering arts, culture, food, literature, travel, women’s rights, and Islamophobia. I have written for the New York Times, NPR, Paris Review, Modern Farmer, among others. I am a regular contributor to NOWNESS and a former editor at Unlike City Guides, an online city guide based in Berlin. I recently graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism with a Masters in arts and culture reporting. Currently, I am working for the Virginia Quarterly Review.
