Hans Bishop

Hans E. Bishop, is currently serving as an Executive in Residence with Warburg Pinkus. He also serves as a Board member of Avanir Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Denderon. He has previously served as President of the speciality medicine at Bayer and previously served as President of its hematology/cardiovascular division. Prior to his position with Bayer, Mr. Bishop served as Senior Vice President of global commercial operations at Chiron Corporation, as well as its Vice President and General Manager of European biopharmaceuticals. Mr. Bishop previously held various positions at Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKlineBeecham. In addition, he served as Executive Vice President of operations with a global telecom service company. Mr. Bishop received a B.S. in chemistry from Brunel University in London.
