It all began when THE INTERNET was invented!
In 1998 together with my students I started a school project about collecting educational websites. In some years time and thanks to the support of thousands of teachers, organisations and the government this initiative has become known world wide as one of the most successful OER-networks for K12 education.

Ask my advice if you want to know how to inspire teachers by making them share their learning resources to create better lessons for all our pupils and students, just likeNorway, Kenya, Palestine or Ecuador did.
In 2002 another peer-to-peer initiative started: ICT-praktijkdag. It has become the most known IT&Education-day in Flanders, Belgium. I organised the event already 35 times, together with a group of supporters of the good use of IT in education. 1000 teachers, IT coordinators and headmasters can subscribe for hands-on workshops given by other colleagues.
Since 2021 I also organise this event online, a week long with more than 200 workshops.
Goal: Preparing our students for their future thanks to better skilled teachers.
In 2013 I opened the Fyxxilab to inspire children from 5 to 99 by letting them experiment with tools to code, with sensors, robotics, 3D printers, laser cutter, ... STEAM and Maker Education: the Future for our Youth with XXIst Century Skills.
In 2020 I opened ESPAI.GENT, a coworking space and room to meet or train colleagues. Goal: bringing people together.
In future projects I hope to focus more on well being of our children via educational platforms and events.
