Backedby nearly two decades of consulting experience, Liana Hans is anexpert on payment review and recovery for providers on a nationalbasis. A graduate of the University of California-Davis, Liana hasalso completed graduate level coursework in Strategic Planning,Marketing, Managerial Accounting, Financial Accounting andOperations. She completed her MBA coursework at the University ofCalifornia, Irvine Graduate School of Management through a partneredtraining program with a consulting company she eventually worked infrom 1997 till 2011. While a student at UC Davis, Liana joined theDelta Gamma Sorority, where she was Treasurer and Pledge ClassPresident. She was a member of the Sacramento EntrepreneurshipAcademy and the Picnic Day Board. She received accolades as a PrizedWriting Award Winner.

Shehad been a Principal for 4 ½ years at the consulting firm prior toputting up her own consulting company in Alameda, CA. In partnershipwith her fellow Principals, Ms. Liana Hans was responsible forcarrying out strategic and operational decisions for the nationwidefirm of over 350 employees, including financial planning, budgeting,rate-setting, staff management (assignments, promotions, andterminations), product implementation and compliance. In addition,she also had supervision of up to 15 concurrent provider engagementsand project teams plus two internal administrative divisions.

Sheis the inspirational and respected Principal and Founder of BoostHealthcare Consulting, which specializes in Underpayment Recovery,Denial Management, Workers' Compensation and Payer Contracting. Ms.Hans’ background encompasses identification and recovery ofcontractual underpayments, claims follow-up, third party appeals,workers' compensation issues, and managed care contracting.

Ms.Liana Hans has had experience analyzing the revenue impacts oflegislative or contractual changes and developing strategies tomitigate future losses. Ms. Hans is an active member of theHealthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). She is adesignated Fellow of HFMA (CHFP/FHFMA Certification) and also holdsan HFMA Certificate of Advanced Technical Study in Managed Care.
