I was in Boulder, Colorado for a wedding several years ago and a group of us decided to visit the Dushanbe Tea House for a light lunch. A few hours later I was still sampling the wonderful teas they served.

I had been what I call a "bag-in-a-box" tea drinker for year. The stuff that our grandmothers used to pull out of the cupboard and make drinkable by adding a lot of honey or lemon. What I tasted at the Dushanbe was a whole new experience in tea. I had discovered loose leaf tea which has as many unique flavor profiles as does wine - with no next day head ache if you do too much taste testing!!!

I decided I wanted continue this loose leaf tea exploration so I created Our Home Tea L.L.C. with the objective to share with others loose leaf teas from around the world and to do that by providing venues for people to have fun and be "re-introduced" to tea.
