On a lighter note, the same reason as why Superman is so popular among superheroes.

He could fly. Not like other gods who fly in a chariot or atop some other vehicle. "HE" could actually fly.

He has incredible strength.

He is immortal.

He's in the form of a monkey, a favorite animal amongst people next only to elephant probably (which explains why Ganesha is popular as well).

Bidyabaan Guni Ati Chaatur,

Raam Kaaj Karibe Ko Aatur;

You are the repository learning(bidyabaan), master of skills (guni), very wise and highly keen (aatur) to do the work (kaaj) of Shri Ram,

Prabhu Charit Sunibe Ko Rasiya,

Raam Lakhan Sita Mann Basiya;

You are delighted on hearing the glories of Shri Ram. You are very dear to Ram , Lakshman and Sita

Bikat Roop Dhari Lanka Jarawa;

You took Small roop (form) when you came to Sita but you also took huge form and showed power to warn Ravana and you set Lanka on fire when ravana put fire on your tail

Bheem Roop Dhari Asur Sanhaare,

Raamchandra Ke Kaaj Sanwaare;

you killed (sanhaar) the Asuras (demons) who were huge and Robust. You accomplished the mission of Shree Ram.

Laaye Sanjivan Lakhan Jiyaaye,

You know, people want to achieve many great things in their lifetime, but not all can be accomplished. Why? Many lack the power (either intellectual, physical or personnal) required, the time, and the endurance. As a result, the tendency for many is to get distracted and to focus on counter-productivity.

To illustrate: Many body-builders end up using their physical strength to maltreat the weak or then to earn a living by modeling or doing wrestling. The extent of their power often ends there. More intellectual people will use their talents by deceiving others in order to acquire luxuries. They will boast their talent and use it to demonstrate authority. Their power ends there. Now let's take a closer look at Hanuman.

Hanuman's strengths:

Hanuman, in the epic रामायणम्, or Rāmāyaṇam, is considered to be one of the mightiest of warriors , wherein it is written he killed many a demon.

He is the son of Kesari and Anjana Devi, born by the boon of Vayu deva.

He was a student of Surya Bhagavan [needs citation] and learnt all Vedas, Vedangas and he is expert in nava vyakarana (The Nine Grammars)

He was given many boons by devas, after his jaw got hit by Devendra when he
