Han Vuong

Han’s passion for SKINcare and wellness began at an early age, “I’m Asian, so in our culture the importance of maintaining your skin’s health, and health in general, is something that is instilled in us from day 1. My aunt gave me an entire Noevir skincare set when I was 8 years old, lol!”

Born and raised in New York, Han was was accepted to SUNY Binghamton’s Decker School of Nursing after she graduated from high school in her junior year….then she realized she REALLY didn’t like blood. After dropping out of college (gasp!), and returning to her family home in Hawaii, she found herself working in a spa. Han enrolled in Esthetic courses on the advise of a friend, with the intent that it would just be something fun to do…. and well, the rest is history!

In the decade that has since past, Han has amassed a resume and the professional experience of Skin Therapists twice her age. In 2008, She became the Principle Esthetician and Lead Laser Technician at Q Laser Center in Honolulu. Shortly after, Han was recruited by Nordstrom to open their new Advanced Technology Skin Care in Honolulu, Hawaii. Since then, she has represented leading skincare and cosmetic brands such as La Prairie, La Mer, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Lancôme, Elemis, Clinique, Bare Escentuals (just to name a few), in luxury retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Nordstrom. At 25 years old, she became one of the youngest corporate educators for Epicuren Discovery, specializing in spa development and training. After moving to Los Angeles in 2011, she had the privilege to work directly under Dr. Zein Obagi at the prestigious Obagi Skin Health Institute in Beverly Hills, California.

“I will never stop learning, and I’m not afraid to change my philosophies or techniques when it comes to treating skin. If there is a better way to do things, better tools out there that will improve the quality of our skin and our quality of life…why not? This is why I wanted to start this blog, this dialogue…to help girls like myself figure out what’s truly effective, and what’s just paid advertising.”
