Floating mirrors with reversed texts, overlapping layers of calligraphy, intertwined structures of writing surface…these are my interpretations of language and translation. Being bilingual and international makes me sensitive to our multilingual world, in which my understanding of exotic culture, history and literature depends largely on translation. Through my work, I strive to explore the problematic issues in literary translation: loss of meaning, vulnerability to language structure, and subjectivity of interpretation.
