Welcome to my site!
I am an undergraduate studying Industrial Engineering and Operation Research at the University of California, Berkeley (Class of 2015). I am interested in optimizing this world! With four-year bachelor education in Industrial Engineering and Operation Research, I have solid knowledge on IE topics such as: Optimization, Stochastic Modeling, Simulation, Decision Analysis, Inventory Control and Supply Chain Management. I also get chances to practice these knowledge learned in Class by internships and course projects. As an enthusiast in Industrial Engineering, I feel like that there are much more that I have to learn to really change a company or an industry by means of Industiral Engineering. So I plan to apply for graduate schools. Wish me good luck!
Besides my schoolwork, I devoted myself into volunteering activities. I want to bring English to the rural areas of China, so I joined Peer Experience Exchange Rostrum(PEER) and developed series of English courses for students in the underdeveloped parts of China. Thousands of students who do not have access to professional English teachers in high schools get benefits from our courses. Moreover, I was an volunteering SAT Math teacher in San Lorenzo Unified School District in the Bay Area. In the Fall of 2012, 32 kids from low-income families joined my free class and most of them get excellent scores in SAT Math.
As an International Student at Cal, I love to experience different cultures and travel to different countries. During my summer breaks, I joined academic exchange programs in Germany and Hong Kong. I traveled to many countries in Asia, Latin America and Europe. The best part of travel is to meet people from different cultures and I am always looking forward to the next Adventure!
