Hapless Historian
Writer, researcher, and Educator in California
Welcome! I am Josh, the Hapless Historian. I am a diverse research and writing specialist with interests in Modern United States popular culture history. I earned a master of arts degree in Modern American and Pacific World history (June, 2015) from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
I am a history instructor at Allan Hancock College, teaching California history online. I am also a contributing columnist with Kalesa Traveler Magazine, a Bay-Area based travel magazine targeting the Filipino-American community. I provide historical research and report content editing for Provenience Group, an organization specializing in historical research, inventory, and evaluation for development proposals and projects.
I am free for consulting and historical research services, as well as content writing and editing individual projects.
I research, write and edit copy, and am an avid cyclist and martial arts enthusiast with fifteen years experience. I authored "Bicycling 101: Basics," a small book on bicycling and exercise, available through Amazon's Createspace.
