Happy Birthday

A long long time ago, there lived a beautiful princess named Spabby. Now Spabby spent her life locked up in the highest room of the tallest tower of her castle...Heritageville
Interestingly enough though, she wasn't kept inside by an evil witch or a fire breathing dragon, but by her own conscience. She was convinced that venturing out into the great unknown would put and end to her hopes and dreams of becoming the most intelligent maiden in all the land.
So she kept herself locked up in her castle, until one day she met a prince from Shmoopyshire. The prince and princess exchanged many a letter until one day the prince, under the influence of multiple libations, decided to tell her that he wanted to be more than friends.
Stories of their 'Just Friends'hip swept the land. until one day the prince had to leave to go to a kingdom far far away. And it was over.
The prince and princess returned to the same kingdom a few moons later, unable to speak to one another outside of their letters. It wasn't till the night of the grand ball that they spoke once again. Many days were spent doing whatever possible to stay out of each others lives whilst still staying in touch.
They both knew they would have to go their own ways soon enough. But while the prospect of never seeing each other again loomed over their heads, one fine starry night, the prince and princess decided that they would fly their ravens thousands of miles each way to try and be together.
Like most real-life stories, this one does not end in a happily ever after, but that doesn't mean the ending can't be happy. The prince and princess went their separate ways, but their story will forever live on.
Their ravens now grow weary, notes are exchanged far less often, but that does not change the pride and happiness that the prince feels when he hears stories of the princesses conquests.
In fact, he was willing to write a long ass princess story just so she would know that he's incredibly proud of all she's done and the person she's becoming, and probably most importantly, to wish her a happy birthday, because, lets face it, there's no way he's waking up in time, or that she'll be sober enough for him to wish her in the morning. (his morning. her late night. so its socially acceptable for her to be shitfaced then. idk why I'm still saying this, you're the only one reading it so you obviously understand what I'm saying without the explanation....)
