SHIOU-PING WU

Hi, my name is Joyce. I am from Yunlin. I am a hairstylist and a student.

I have been engaged in the hairdressing industry for five years. I spent a lot of time on learning techniques because I am such a perfectionist. I think the technique is not only responsible for the customer but also responsible for myself. Therefore, I spent more than two years to be a designer.

In the past, I was very introverted, but since the nature of my work deals with a lot of people began taking the initiative in striking conversations and I am showing professional and confidence to convince the customer to accept my professional advice. In the long-run, customer and I become the friend.

At work, I need to face all kinds of people, so that I have learned how to communicate, cultivate patience and be nice to customers. I also learned how to get along with people and tolerate those who are different from me.

Sometimes, I go to the retirement center to help disabled people to do the haircut for free. When I go to the retirement center, which is always brought to me the positive attitude and let me keep the optimistic attitude to face the difficulties.

I am also a student. At the school, I have learned how to show my self-confidence to present the presentation in front of the stage. I need to go to work and also to attend the class, I usually watch the films to learning English and use my leisure time to do homework. Every semester I can get the scholarship that is the motivation to encourage myself to persist.
