John Hargrave
John W. Hargrave and Associates is a law firm that helps people solve financial problems. Since 1982 John Hargrave has focused his practice on helping people in financial distress. Since the beginning of history people have been getting in to financial problems they cannot solve on their own. There have always been laws to help people in those situations. Beginning with the Old Testament in Deuteronomy right through the US Constitution as written in1787 societies have had a form of debt forgiveness available for people in financial distress. Since 1987 when the law firm was founded we have helped several thousand people who found themselves in a financial hole for which there seemed no escape. The most common profile today of a person in financial distress is a someone or a couple who have lost income. Someone is now unemployed, went through a period of unemployment or is working but now earning less than they use to earn. John Hargrave has served as a bankruptcy trustee since 1985. This is a position appointed by the United States Dept of Justice to supervise people and businesses that file for bankruptcy. He is one of only 6 attorneys in Southern New Jersey who do this work. He is also only one of 1,200 trustees in the United States. In 2010 he supervised over a thousand bankruptcy cases. John Hargrave has served as a Master in Bankruptcy in the Inns of Court program that trains new attorneys in the bankruptcy field. In 2011 he received the New Jersey State Bar Association Award as the Pro Bono Lawyer of the year for his service to the public through volunteer work.
