Hari Vutukuru is an adaptive and agile military officer with knowledge and experience in cultural policy, nonprofit organizations, strategic political communications, international political economy, film/TV production, media & entertainment, grassroots organizing, project management, logistics, and supply chain operations.

In conjunction with his technical skills, Hari brings to the table charisma, inspiration, and vision to leadership philosophy and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life. In his everyday life, Hari Vutukuru fully embraces the Officer Creed and exemplifies the Army values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage.

Hari Vutukuru is a proud first-generation Indian-American who was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated with a double Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, majoring in both Political Science and Screen Arts & Cultures. From there, Hari received his Masters in Arts Politics from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and is currently pursuing his law degree from Rutgers University.

Hari started his career in the military as a Private First Class in the Infantry division of the US Army. He then moved up the ranks from Cadet to Second Lieutenant to eventually hold the title of First Lieutenant/Company Executive Officer for the Transportation Corps.

He is currently the Director of Operations for the Food Bank For New York City, and still is actively involved in the United States National Guard as distribution platoon leader for New York City's Fighting 69th Infantry Battalion.

Hari Vutukuru is passionate about being driven by purpose rather than titles, although he does hold a few of his own. He spends his spare time actively involved in many philanthropic events and organizations, and is particularly ardent about causes like gun violence, poverty, and hunger. When Hari finds a spare moment in his exciting life, he likes to spend time cheering on University of Michigan sports teams, traveling, keeping up with pop culture and film trends, and staying active in the political community.
