Harminder Thind, also known as Hermin Thind, has spent over two decades building businesses that emphasize a people-first approach alongside operational efficiency. From his early days managing a Subway franchise to expanding Vapor Maven into multiple states, his career has been one of consistent growth, calculated risk-taking, and a focus on community impact.

Born in 1980 in Punjab, India, Harminder and his family moved to Seattle in 1992, when he was twelve. This transition instilled in him a strong work ethic and a sense of independence. After high school, he pursued an associate degree in computer science, but his passion ultimately led him to business ownership. At the age of 19, he purchased a Subway franchise, where he acquired essential business skills, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service. This experience helped shape his leadership style, which values being present, solving problems efficiently, and leading by example.

After selling the Subway franchise, he ventured into other businesses, including running a Dairy Queen and opening the first Indian restaurant in a small town. Later, his family purchased a motel in Springdale, Arkansas, where, during the 2007 recession, he took over operations to keep it running. This challenging experience helped him develop resilience and sharpen his skills in managing operations and customer satisfaction.

In 2014, recognizing a growing market in vaping, Harminder opened the first Vapor Maven store. His goal was to create a space where customers could find quality products and receive guidance on safer alternatives to smoking. As the business grew, he developed systems for hiring, training, and maintaining consistency across locations.

Today, he continues to lead with a hands-on approach, focusing on both business expansion and community involvement. Hermin Thind’s journey exemplifies how perseverance, strong leadership, and a commitment to values can lead to the creation of successful and lasting businesses.
