Blair Stiles
Teacher, Student, and Writer in St. Louis, Missouri
Howdy!
My name is Blair Stiles, but my “koobies” at West County Day School know me as “Ms. Blair”. Currently we are a class of four 1-1.5 year olds full of love, smarts, and runny noses.
My current pursuit is a Master’s in Secondary Education, and I have a Bachelor’s in Art History. After I received my BA I started to write about music for the Riverfront Times, KDHX, and Eleven Music Magazine. My writing skills helped pave the way for a marketing career, but I ultimately wanted more. English education seemed the perfect way to me to connect with youngsters of the world and pique their interests in their relationship with the arts. I believe the best way to connect with people is through the relatable emotions present within literature, paintings, poetry, etc… and in doing so it is possible to widen someone’s view on life and themselves.
My goal is to become a certified upper education English teacher, as well as Art. I would love to say someday that I taught English, Humanities, and Journalism courses.
Thanks for reading!
