Thomas Harris

My name is Thomas Harris, born in Guelph, Ontario but spent most of my time in Orillia, but that was years ago and those days are behind me. I'm currently in school at Dalhousie studying for my BA majoring in Greek, Roman or Medieval History, with the end goal here being a teaching career.

Myers-Briggs categorizes me as ESFP ( http://www.personalitypathways.com/dom-se.html ), and the description is so identical to how I see myself I won't even bother paraphrasing it. I am an extremely outgoing person, able to make life long friends almost as soon as I meet them. I don't describe my life or my purpose in life, I live in the now, letting my past define me and taking the future head on.

Over the last 5 years I have been all across the map, well not really, but I'm getting there. Working backwards; I lived and studied in Vancouver, enjoying trips to Montreal and Cancun for New Years and Spring Break respectively, spent several months living and teaching english in a Buddist Monastary to the North-West of Katmandu, Nepal, spent a working holiday year in Australia where, amoung other things, I got involved with a film crew covering attractions, accomodations, restaurants, bars and just everything else you can think of. I've also been to Peru, briefly, for a hike to Machu Pichu.

So it should come as no real suprise that my greatest passion in life is traveling. Meeting people from different places, mind sets and times in their life is an immensely rewarding experience and one that I have nearly devoted my life too. Too that end, I currently have plans to go to; Africa in a mix between volunteering, doing a safari and conquering Kilimanjaro, and South-East Asia/Oceanic for as long as I can after a working holiday year in New Zealand. Yeeeeeewwww!
