Zaharoula Harris

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Born in Melbourne in 1968

Her passion for storytelling through Photographic imagery began early – at the age of 15. She was fortunate to have her own darkroom, and loved watching her first images emerge and develop. Today she continues to explore the possibilities of photography through digital technology and what she can do through her art.
Zaharoula loves photographing people, children, families, Weddings, celebrations and women.

When she was in art school she loved drawing the female nude body, she decided then she was either going to paint women or photograph them, she chose to photograph them.

Hoping that one day soon, she will take up life drawing classes again.

Zaharoula’s strong people focus ensures that everyone who comes into her studio takes their own journey. She tells their story in a loving and artistic way to provide them with imagery that they will remember for years to come.

In 2012 Zaharoula produced Twins, her first hardcover book. Twins describes the incredible bond that twins share; from just a few days old to the ripe old age of 96, the bond never ceases. Currently working on her second book "Multiples" and is planning ahead with her third book, simply called "Women", the beauty that is you!

Zaharoula’s guarantee is to tell your story through the eyes of a woman.

Zaharoula Harris is a multi award-winning photographer with over 26 years experience, and an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

A successful business woman that has been working as an entrepreneur since the age of 10 and currently at the age of 46, safe to say she is at the prime of her life.

“There is nothing else I would rather be doing than photography. I wake up every day with a purpose: a very strong desire to give every individual the ultimate photographic experience. It’s a feeling, an emotion, and it is all connected from the heart. Allow me to tell your story.” – Zaharoula Harris
