About Me
I am Harsha Kankanala, deeply passionate about transforming higher education through innovative teaching-learning practices that create measurable improvements in student outcomes, faculty effectiveness, and institutional quality.
Coming from a family of teachers, education was never just a profession around me; it was a responsibility. For more than a decade, I have been exploring how institutions can create meaningful learning experiences, empower faculty, and deliver measurable outcomes for every student.
My journey took me from core engineering to innovation labs in Europe, where I worked on product development, design thinking, project management, and research-driven innovation. I hold a Professional Doctorate in Engineering from TU Delft, Netherlands, specializing in efficient product and process development with a strong focus on translating ideas into scalable impact.
While technology has been an important part of my journey, my primary focus has always been on innovating Teaching-Learning Practices (TLP). I spend a significant part of my time studying how students learn, how faculty teach, how assessments influence behavior, and how institutions can create environments that improve engagement, learning effectiveness, and long-term outcomes.
I strongly believe that meaningful educational transformation happens when pedagogy leads and technology follows. This philosophy continues to guide every framework, model, and product we build.
This vision ultimately led to the founding of Edwisely, an education technology company focused on transforming higher education through Artificial Intelligence and Learning Analytics.
At Edwisely, I lead the vision of building AI-Powered Learning Campuses through our Intelligent Learning Infrastructure (ILI) — a new category of educational infrastructure designed to help institutions move beyond traditional LMS and ERP systems toward intelligent, personalized, and outcome-driven learning ecosystems.
Over the years, we have developed several frameworks that help institutions improve teaching effectiveness and student success:

Today, Edwisely powers learning experiences across multiple institutions through AI-enabled campus platforms and supports colleges in aligning with Outcome-Based Education and accreditation frameworks.
My mission is simple: to help institutions create learning environments where every student can realize their full potential and every faculty member is empowered to make a greater impact.
