Being born and raised in New Jersey, Indiana University didn’t seem like a likely college destination. However, after my hard work throughout high school I was fortunate to be accepted into one of the most prestigious business schools in the country, the Kelley School of Business at IU. From there it was a no brainer and I’m so glad I made that decision.
Ever since creating my high school’s stock market club, I knew a career in business would be one of my goals. I especially like Finance and could see myself having a career in that field in the future. In the past I have had jobs at my Dad’s business as well as working at a loca summerl day camp. This past summer I wanted to get a job or an internship at a legitimate business so I can see what I do and don’t like about certain work environments. I was able to land a paid internship at a local real estate company and I learned so much during this great experience.
In my spare I enjoy watching sports and following my favorite teams (all my from New Jersey/New York). I also enjoy working with the special needs. Since I was about eight-years-old I have been working with the same adult Special Olympics Basketball team. So being around basketball, my favorite sport, and helping others was a great experience that I genuinely enjoyed throughout the years.
I’m currently a sophomore at Indiana University and look forward to the rest of the year and the remaining time I have at Kelley. I’m nervous, yet very excited, to start looking for a business career that would suit my personality and desires.
