The clinic, known for its focus on preemptive healthcare strategies, has been pivotal in advocating disease prevention through personalized diet, exercise, and hormone management plans. Although he retired in 2023, he remains active within the medical community by continuing his research and consulting former patients.

Kryger’s credentials are extensive, encompassing an MD and a DMD, along with certification in family practice. He is also the founder of the Alternative Medicine Foundation, which has marked his prominent standing in the healthcare industry for over fifty years.

His academic roots trace back to the University of Manitoba, Canada, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1964, followed by a DMD in 1969 and an MD in 1973. Post-graduation, Kryger deepened his clinical expertise through an intensive internship and fellowships at Stanford University’s Santa Clara Valley Medical Centre, focusing primarily on surgical operations and burn care.

Launching his career as a dentist in 1969 in Vancouver, Canada, Kryger also extended his services to Indigenous communities in Northern Manitoba, providing essential dental care. His medical career progressed significantly when he was appointed a staff physician at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles in 1975, eventually becoming the Medical Director.

Kryger further broadened his expertise from 1977 to 1980 at the Sonoma County Holistic Health Center in Monte Rio, CA. There, he was a pioneer in integrating holistic health methods with traditional medical practices, working collaboratively with various health specialists, including acupuncturists.

Throughout his tenure at Monterey Preventive Medical Clinic, starting in 1990, Kryger focused on promoting health and preventing diseases. He became especially known for his work in hormone balancing. His innovative approach in the clinic included introducing complementary therapies such as massage and enhancing patient care.

Kryger has contributed significantly to medical literature. His notable work, "Listen To Your Hormones," published in 2004, was crucial in developing innovative hormonal treatments.
