Short Bio:
Haseeb Khawaja is a Documentary Filmmaker & Journalist by profession and Human Rights Activist by nature. His greater focus on defending rights of women & other human/ social issues. He is an Anchor person, and a Consultant/ Trainer as well.
Moreover he has voluntarily pioneered “Pakistani Men Against Rape” national flagship campaign with 40 chapters across Pakistan.
He has participated, organized, and led many rallies, public protests and facilitated many advocacy meetings among policy makers including Parliamentarians, Diplomatic Missions, Government Officers and Public Sector Autonomous Human Rights bodies, etc.
He has worked on many cases of human rights’ violations like Pakistan’s famous and mega complex honour killings’ case, Kohistan Video Case (which was about innocent girls' slaughtering by Jirga for so-called honour) is his one of the best investigative work, which was and is highly venerated on national and international forums. And there are different internationally recognized filmmakers/ production companies [Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy (Oscar/ Academy Award & Emmy Award-winning documentary filmmaker), Digital Warriors Productions Inc. (Canada), etc] who have produced different documentary films on Haseeb Khawaja’s investigative work and his selfless struggle for the case.
He has trained the people of many Organisations/ Universities, etc on the topic of Documentary Filmmaking, Journalism & Human Rights issues.
He has participated in hundreds of meetings/ conferences, etc of Governmental, NGOs/ iNGOs, Alliances where he has delivered his talks as Panelist, Speaker, etc.
Currently he is running his own company [“Haseeb Khawaja Solutions (Private) Limited” {who provides consultancy services & media productions, etc}] along with his other several professional and social/ volunteer engagements.
