A little bit about me:
I am currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering in Canada at the University of Toronto (expected completion: May 2013). I have always been passionate about construction, business and solving puzzles; thus, decided on pursuing engineering and plan on heading towards the construction management industry.
Recent Projects:
Literature Review, Production of Self-Consolidating Concrete - November 2012
Team Members: Hashim Anwar, Naveed Enam
Description: This literature review looks at the factors influencing the production of self-consolidating concrete (SCC) and the required steps to follow to ensure reliable performance
Theoretical Medium-sized School House Design (BIM) - November 2012
Team Members: Hashim Anwar, Hamid Reza Bahaddor, Iakov Bravinski
Description: 4D modeling of a school house along with quantity and cost estimations.
Theoretical Highway 401 Expansion - October 2012
Team Members: Hashim Anwar, Hamid Reza Bahaddor, Iakov Bravinski
Description: This was entirely an academic exercise.
The highway 401 project involved widening from 6 to 12 lanes by construction of new collector lanes and reconstruction of core (express). The project involved the simulation of real-world construction management practices; hence, it was based on a real-life project. It involved activities such as quantity estimations, equipment selection, cost-benefit analyses, and development of a feasible construction plan.
