Dr Hassan Dawood

Dr Hassan Dawood has enjoyed a remarkable career trajectory that has encompassed such diverse fields as Medicine, IT and Media. He was one of the very first Emirati bloggers, and has been active in cyberspace for over a decade. In 2005 - before the advent of Facebook and Twitter - Dr Dawood saw the need for an innovative internet start-up. Although he was still a medical student, he believed that opportunity waits for no man, and he seized this opening to start the internet company, becoming its Head of Digital Marketing. After graduation he practiced as a Medical Doctor in the United Kingdom. He then progressed to Strategic Healthcare Management, where he combined his twin passions of Medicine and Technology to research the impact of the mobile and social media revolution on the healthcare industry. Seeking an even greater challenge, he moved into the social media and creative arena. He currently serves as Deputy CEO of Alsayegh Media.
