Mr. HASSAN ABDIKADIR is a Youth Worker, Activist and Mentor for Social Change.
Hassan Abdikadir was born and raisedn in Korogocho Slum, went through education in Korogocho Primary and Learnt through the hardship of growing up in Poverty, Crime Related Prone Environment.
He is a Student of Life as he moves through his daily challenge to make life better for young people in informal settlements and focusing on empowering young people to make changes in their lives.
He currently works with as an Independent Youth Development Consultant Hassan has previously worked with Kenya Muslim Youth Alliance as Consultant/ Programme Officer –Youth Livelihood and Entrepreneurship.
Consultant with Friendship North/South (Vennskap) on the Development of Youth Empowerment Assembly Network in East Africa Region,
And Education Development Center- Garissa Youth Project in Garissa.
He is currently pursuing Bachelors Degree in Development Studies distance learning with Nairobi University Graduating 2015.
He has hold a Diploma in Community Development and Social Work at the Kenya Institute of Professional Studies.
Hassan has over 12 years practical experience as a Youth Worker, Volunteer, Consultant and NGO staff working in a range of US-AID, Swedish Government and UN-Habitat/UN-DESA Funded Youth Assessment and Projects, youth mobilization and advocacy, leadership and democracy building activities and training events that has taken him abroad as well as engaged in National Level activities.
Hassan Abdikadir has helped developed curriculums, guide books and delivered training and organized forums for Youth Capacity Building And Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Youth Governance and Advocacy, have also co-authored a book known as World Urban Cafe which was a series of action activities that guide young people as they prepare to organize an event, dialogue forum, ideas to action and also lobbying for policies that address their issues at any level.
The book was part of the experience of working a team working on the 3rd World Urban Youth Forum held in Vancouver, Canada in 2006.
