I have gone through quite a jounery threw life. In high school I did an number of things such as community service and sports. I ran track for about two in a half years, and cross country for one. Even though I do not run anymore I still enjoy the sport and love to run when I get a chance. I always find a way to keep myself active, because I was never the type to sit around and watch things happen.
I still continue to get involved and try new things in college as well. I am a sophmore at SIUE. I am recently involved in a modeling organization at my school called I.M.A.G.E. Our organizationg is build on self-esteem and helping girls build their confidence to strunt their stuff on the runway. We accept girls and guys of all different shapes and sizes. Our message is beauty is not only one thing its everything. I love being involved in this organizagtion, because watching these girls, and seeing how much they have grown is rewarding enough.
My organization does a number of fashion shows throughout the year. We also offer casting calls on our facebook page just in case our models want to do some outside work. Actually this spring I went to one of the casting calls in St. Louis for Bakers shoes. They were looking for girls to be the faces in their stores. I was a fun contest that i went through and I even ended up winning . We had a photoshoot and I am now in all of their stores. It is a very exciting experience for me.
I try to keep my self involved in as many things as possible. I love the motivation and support my family has showed to me in the pass few years. Incouraging me to do well in school and move forward in life. Now I move on to the bigger and brighter things that are ahead of my in my future. I always keep my favorite quote in mid to incourage me on the way. And Ileave you with this " Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?..." -marianne williamson
