I am a Ronald E. McNair Scholar and researcher focusing on race, income and education within neighborhoods in the city of Chicago.

I am interested in understanding the statistics within neighborhoods and how it is those numbers came to be and how it affects the people within theneighborhood.

I want to better understand how neighborhoods like Hyde Park and Bronzeville have the social and economic status that it does and how that information could better help lower-income neighborhoods of Chicago.
