Haven Daley

After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and African-American Studies, journalist Haven Daley continued his education at Northwestern University. At the Evanston, Illinois-based school, Haven Daley received a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism. Following the receipt of his Master’s degree, Haven Daley moved to California, where he served as a Reporter/Photographer for KHSL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Chico. After two years, Haven Daley transferred to Lexington, Kentucky’s WTVQ-TV. As a General Assignment Reporter for the ABC affiliate, Haven Daley gained experience in live shoots. Continuing as a General Assignment Reporter for WHIO-TV in Dayton, Ohio, Haven Daley earned national recognition, as several of his assignments received attention on CBS NewsPath. In addition, the Society of Professional Journalists honored him as a Member of the Best News Team, Ohio Chapter. After a year, Haven Daley joined FOX’s TV2 in the Virgin Islands as a News Director, Reporter, and Anchor. While in the Virgin Islands, Haven Daley actively connected with community members by educating them about broadcast news reporting. Next, Haven Daley gained employment with News 24 Houston in Texas, where his live reports on Hurricane Claudette and the Columbia shuttle disaster appeared on CNN. Eventually, Haven Daley produced long-form stories for local public station WLVT-TV in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. For the past five years, Haven Daley has provided his services as a Video Journalist for The Associated Press (AP). Residing in San Francisco, California, Haven Daley has covered stories for the AP throughout the West Coast as well as Alaska, Hawaii, and Mexico. Some of Haven Daley’s topics have included politics, electronic/gadget shows, and fans' reactions to the death of Michael Jackson.
