Journalism is a changing field. Excellent writing is one thing. Getting people to see it is another. That's why understanding social media and producing consumable video is important. Because that's where millennials are at. As a journalism student at USC, I'm honing my writing skills and digital and social media skills so my work can reach more people. I was Deputy News Editor the Daily Trojan, intern at Sacramento Bee and Orange County Register and I am currently the social media editor for USC Annenberg Media.
