Hawkins Biggins initially discovered a love for photography in high school. After traveling and living around the world, she returned to pursuing her interest in photography in 2000. Initially taking courses at Australia National University, while living in Canberra.
Eventually earning her commercial photography degree after attending New England School of Photography from 2001-2003. Upon graduation she worked as a photography assistant for a variety of professional photographers. That experience allowed her to learn how to take the technical skills she learned in school and apply them in the real world.
After moving to Washington DC, she was a studio manager for a prestigious architectural photography firm where she learned the business side of photography.
Returning to Honolulu in 2008, after almost twenty years away, she started her own freelance photography business.
