Haya Yousef

"I want to be remembered as an influencer who has made a change to the community!"

After being awarded a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Haya is now working in the field of Software Telecommunications as a Research and Development Engineer.

Her work is all about innovation and turning artistic ideas into a valuable product. Her next step is to hit the road of product management.

Haya has started the journey of volunteering with IEEE in 2013, in which she had the chance to lead a team of around 150 members and 60 volunteers as the Chairperson of the IEEE University of Jordan Student Branch for a year during 2015/2016.

Currently, she supervises the student branches activities in 14 different universities across Jordan as the IEEE Jordan Student Activities Chair.

Recently, she was appointed as a corresponding member in the Continuing Education Committee of Region 8 (Europe and MENA) to help engineers in developing their careers by continuously improving their technical and soft skills.

According to her volunteering experience, she is now able to turn individuals into great leaders by offering them training sessions in the field of leadership, innovation, management, and strategic planning.

Haya believes that marketing is a key parameter for the success of any product. Therefore, she has been working to develop herself in this field since 2014 when she served as a Social Media Officer at her university, she and the team were able to develop a strong marketing platform on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Now she works on advancing her skills by educating herself more in this field, also by helping interested people to learn more about it.

Haya enjoys performing in front of people since she was a child, and that hobby has turned her into a public speaker now where she gets invited to share her knowledge and expertise by speaking at various events.

If she could sum-up life in one sentence it would be: "Never stop learning."
