When she isn’t figuring the crux of an investigative piece, she is busy scraping another island off her scratch map, giving her parents (mild) heart attacks with her ludicrous exploratory ideas or figuring the best fitness regime she should stick to.
Haylena builds houses for EPIC Homes, an organisation which aims to provide relief shelter for the indigenous populations of Malaysia.[REWIND]
Born and bred in Malaysia, Haylena comes from a Sri Lankan – Indian parentage, her father is a Ceylonese (as Malaysians label it) from Kuala Lumpur and her mother is a Malayalee from Malacca (a state in Malaysia’s Peninsular Southwest Coast).
