In 1998 Haynes received The Team Excellence Award from Dr. C. Mercedes, chief of public health for The City of New York. The award recognized the value and professionalism of a continuing education program.
Haynes has attended many didactic work shops with many of the opinion leaders in dentistry throughout North America during his period with Sanofi Aventis Pharma and Eastman Kodak (Health Sciences). He attented U of T, York University and U of NC (Raleigh)
