Hazel Fluffypants is an award-winning writer, purrtoonist, and aspiring Oprah Kitty. She has intermewed over 50 social media cats and human authors, from Blue Chip and Luna the Fashion Kitty to Christine DeSmet and Laurie Scheer.
Hazel studied purrtooning with Lynda Barry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, resulting in a capstone holiday comic, Flaky the Snow Cat,for which they won the University Bookstore Award. Her travel comic, Hydrated Tourist Penguin Goes to Paris,was purrblished by The Badger Herald.
Her work has been featured at the Madison Music Festival, Autoptic in Minneapolis, and UW-Madison Writer’s Institute, where she composed the “Kitty Wisdom for the PURRfect Writer” handout.
She’s currently napping on a novel about feral cats in Rome.
